Mission Statement
My goal is to provide a program that educates people—especially young women—about how to keep themselves safe in the event of an accident or attack. Self-defense will be taught from a survival standpoint. Students of the ACT Safety & Defense program will receive individual feedback on their technique, and will have a chance to address their own specific concerns and to safely practice and apply techniques. They will have the opportunity to learn a variety of simple techniques and, more importantly, time to develop the muscle memory to execute them if necessary. It is my hope and intention that all students who complete the program leave with increased confidence in their ability to avoid dangerous situations, defend themselves, and stay safe.
